Zoo Days

On Saturday, it was a free day at the zoo provided by Brent's work so we decided to take advantage!

Yes, folks. That is my hair blowing in the wind. Believe it or not, we actually had great weather. I think it was our zoo day miracle.

We were able to meet up with my cousin Ryan and his two boys, who are so darling.

Since we had a picture of all the boys, we had to have a picture of just the girls!

And apparently, we wore Avery out.

Tyson loves animals. He was sometimes a little distracted by the squirrels at the zoo instead of the huge gorilla that was standing right in front of us, but he enjoyed himself. A couple of times a day, I find him looking at the zoo map and I have to sit down with him and talk about all the animals we saw.

This guy was happy to see us to. The second we pulled out the camera he gave us a huge smile!

How fun, where was Bethany? those boys are cute, fun to see pics.

I got the tire all fixed, it was only a $350 detour, that I will never do again!!!

Talk to you soon.

Those company perks are nice. When Kelly worked for HP, they had nice little incentives like that.

I'm glad the weather worked out well for you and the family that day. That breeze helped a lot, I'm sure. Looks like you had a good family day.

Paige, you look so cute! How fun that you were able to see Ryan and his family. What kind of animal is that smiling at you?

I second the last question. What the heck is that thing? Did they cross a Texas bore with a horse? That's freaky!

I too think that is one of the creepiest smiles that I have ever seen. But at least he knows what to do for the camera. You know I can't say the same for my kids.

It looks like you have found lots of fun things to do at your summer home.

What a great zoo. You know- I was going to comment on how cute your kid's smiles were throughout this post, and then I saw that boar-thingy grinning. You must have a gift for getting people/animals to smile for the camera. Glad you got to go to a REAL zoo.

melissa - bethany had some church related meetings. Lame. We would much rather have had her with us!!

As for the animal. I have no idea what it is. But, it's pretty gross.

I love the picture of you and Avery. Too cute. Looks like a fun day the Zoo. Claire tells me this last picture is of a cariacko? I think it's a cross between a caraboo and a yak? I'm not sure.
