We carved our pumpkin the other night. We are pretty much the lamest parents in the world and have never done it with our kids. We figured one giant pumpkin would be a little better than a few small ones.

Tyson loved cleaning out the pumpkin.

Avery scooped out one seed and was so proud of herself!

Avery got pretty grossed out by what was coming out of the pumpkin. She quickly got down, told me it smelled and sat on the couch.

Tyson was very particular about what the pumpkin should look like. He worked very hard making sure every last piece was scooped out.
The finished product.

Hey, I say hold off as long as you can with the whole pumpkin carving thing. I hate doing it, so great job lasting this long. :) The finished result is spooktacular (oh so funny, I know).
Also, Jessica and Cory Higginbotham just moved out here. I saw her the other day and your name came up...she was saying how absolutely adorable your kids are. (I think she either saw your blog a while ago or something.)
Avery's grossed out face is just perfect. We caved this year on pumpkins too, but it turned out to be such a great time.
What a fine looking pumpkins. We're gonna attempt ours tomorrow night. Happy Halloween!
I REALLY like the pumpkin's teeth!
You are amazing at updating your blog. I'm impressed by all you document. Way to go!! I love hearing about your kids' cute relationship. We're starting to see that her in our house as well with my oldest son and daughter. They are often found playing house, computer games, or prince/princess. I'm excited to see them have so much fun together. Your kids are adorable. I love Avery's blond hair. She's a beauty. Glad to see you're doing well. Take care!
paige, you sweet little family is so cute...hope all is well with you...
I just love that grossed out face that Avery makes while scooping out the goo. Brilliant.
It looks like it all turned out great, what a fun side of Tyson to hear about, I didn't realize that he was so particular to the details of projects. Nice work.
i totally missed out on pumpkin carving this year.
ps, I don't know if I will make it to Texas when Tim comes back through. We're hoping he doesn't have to stay at Ft. Hood too long since he'll be de-briefing after Iraq right before Christmas.
but if he ever has to come back through, you better believe I'll be visiting YOU! :)
